最後さいごに、左目ひだりめを洗あらうと、アマテラスが生うまれました。

Finally, when he washed his left eye, Amaterasu was born.

アマテラスは、太陽たいようの女神めがみで、高天原たかまがはらを治おさめることになりました。

Amaterasu was the sun goddess, and it was decided that she would rule Takamagahara.

この後あとのお話おはなしは、アマテラスとスサノオの物語ものがたりになります。

The story that follows becomes the tale of Amaterasu and Susanoo.

追い出おいだされたスサノオは、「母ははのいる根の国ねのくにへ行いく前まえに、姉あねのアマテラスに会あいたい」と言いって、高天原たかまがはらへ上のぼっていきました。

Driven out, Susanoo said, “Before I go to the Land of Roots where my mother is, I want to see my elder sister Amaterasu,” and he went up to Takamagahara.

アマテラスは、「弟おとうとは、私わたしの国くにをうばいに来きたのかもしれない」と思おもいました。

Amaterasu thought, “My brother may have come to take my land.”

アマテラスが、スサノオの十拳剣とつかのつるぎという剣けんをかみ砕くだくと、三人さんにんの女神めがみが生うまれました。

When Amaterasu chewed up Susanoo's sword, called the Totsuka-no-tsurugi, three goddesses were born.
