洗う: to wash

食事しょくじの前まえに手てを洗あらう。

I wash my hands before meals.

「私わたしは、とても汚きたない国くにへ行いってしまいました。体からだを洗あらって、きよめましょう。」

“I have been to a very filthy land. Let me wash my body and purify myself.”

そして、筑紫つくしの海辺うみべで、体からだを洗あらいました。
