アメノオシホミミ: Ame-no-Oshihomimi, child of Amaterasu, father of Ninigi

アマテラスは、「葦原中国あしはらのなかつくには、私わたしの子このアメノオシホミミが治おさめる国くにです」と言いいました。

Amaterasu said, “Ashihara no Nakatsukuni is the land that my child Ame-no-oshihomimi should rule.”

次つぎに、スサノオが、アマテラスの勾玉まがたまという、曲まがった形かたちの玉たまをかみ砕くだくと、五ご人にんの神かみが生うまれ、その中そのなかにアメノオシホミミがいました。

Next, when Susanoo chewed up Amaterasu's magatama, the curved jewels, five gods were born, and Ame-no-oshihomimi was among them.

ところが、オシホミミが天てんから地上ちじょうを見みると、「地上ちじょうは、さわがしくて、落ち着おちつきません」と言いいました。

However, when Oshihomimi looked down on the earth from heaven, he said, “The earth is noisy and unsettled.”
