クシナダヒメ: Kushinada-hime, the girl Susanoo saved and married

スサノオは、クシナダヒメを櫛くしに変かえて、自分じぶんの髪かみにさしました。

Susanoo turned Kushinada-hime into a comb and put it in his own hair.

川かわをさかのぼると、アシナヅチとテナヅチという老夫婦ろうふうふが、娘むすめのクシナダヒメと、泣ないていました。

Going up the river, he found an old couple, Ashinazuchi and Tenazuchi, weeping with their daughter Kushinada-hime.

スサノオは、自分じぶんがアマテラスの弟おとうとであると名なのって、クシナダヒメがほしいと言いいました。

Susanoo gave his name, saying he was Amaterasu's younger brother, and asked for Kushinada-hime.

スサノオとクシナダヒメの子孫しそんが、のちに国くにを治おさめる、オオクニヌシという神かみです。

Their descendant is the god Ōkuninushi, who later rules the land.
