並ぶ: to line up

朝あさから店みせの前まえに人ひとが並ならんでいる。

People have been lining up in front of the shop since morning.

ムラの中心ちゅうしんに広場ひろばがあり、そのまわりに家いえと墓はかが輪わのように並ならんだムラもありました。

Some villages had a plaza in the center, with houses and graves lined up around it in a ring.

このように、家いえが輪わの形かたちに並ならんだムラを、環状集落かんじょうしゅうらくといいます。

A village in which the houses are lined up in a ring like this is called a ring-shaped settlement (kanjō shūraku).
