もらう: receive

Says that the speaker receives something from someone, with the giver marked by に or から.

Receiver は Giver に／から Z をもらう. The receiver is the subject, so the viewpoint is the receiver's. Humble form is いただく. With people, に is common; から is used when the giver is a company or place.
