Adds one more point to what was just said.

Sentence-opening connector for adding another reason or fact, usually the same direction (good with good, bad with bad). Common in speech. Slightly lighter than そのうえ.

Examples

この店みせは安やすい。それに、料理りょうりもおいしい。

This shop is cheap. Besides, the food is delicious.

今日きょうは疲つかれているし、それに、明日あしたも早はやいから帰かえるよ。

I am tired today, and besides, tomorrow is early too, so I am heading home.
