Lists examples of a type, before a noun.

Noun, noun + といった + noun. Often with a list of two or three items: 東京、大阪といった大都市. It is more formal than など. Compare 〜のような, which has a broader meaning.

Examples

東京とうきょう、大阪おおさか、名古屋なごやといった大都市だいとしは、人口じんこうが多おおい。

Large cities such as Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya have large populations.

スポーツ、音楽おんがく、美術びじゅつといった分野ぶんやで活躍かつやくしている。

He is active in fields such as sports, music and art.
