Says that the result is higher or lower than expected for the effort, price or type.

Plain form (noun + の / na-adjective + な) + わりに(は). Example: 値段のわりにおいしい. The standard is set by the first part. Compare 〜にしては: that compares with the usual for a fact or kind.

Examples

この店みせは、値段ねだんのわりに料理りょうりの味あじがいい。

The food at this restaurant is good for the price.

勉強べんきょうしたわりには、点数てんすうが伸のびなかった。
