Says that something was done by way of a means, or that it covers a whole period.

Noun + を通じて. Meaning 1: by means of (友人を通じて知り合った). Meaning 2: throughout a period (一年を通じて暖かい). Compare 〜を通して, which can sound more like "through the experience".

Examples

友人ゆうじんを通をつうじて、今いまの仕事しごとを紹介しょうかいしてもらった。

I was introduced to my present job through a friend.

この地域ちいきは一年いちねんを通をつうじて雨あめが少すくない。

This region gets little rain throughout the year.
