Brings up an extreme example at the end of a list, usually negative.

Noun + に至っては + comment. After listing smaller cases: 兄も姉も、弟に至っては. The last case is the worst or most extreme. Spoken and written. Compare 〜ときたら, which complains about one topic.

Examples

家族かぞくはみな忙いそがしく、兄あにに至いたっては、一年中いちねんじゅう家いえにいない。

Everyone in my family is busy, and as for my brother, he is not at home all year.

この店みせは値段ねだんが高たかく、サービスに至いたっては最悪さいあくだ。

This shop is expensive, and as for the service, it is the worst.
