Says something is connected to or affects something important.

Noun + にかかわる + noun: 命にかかわる, 評判にかかわる, 人事にかかわる. Often means it can seriously affect something, so it is used for important matters. Compare 〜に関する, which is neutral.

Examples

この病気びょうきは、放はなっておくと命いのちにかかわる。

If this illness is left alone, it could be life-threatening.

そんな噂うわさは、会社かいしゃの評判ひょうばんにかかわる問題もんだいだ。
