Makes a verb meaning "to show signs of" something.

Noun or adjective stem + めく (春めく, 謎めく, 皮肉めく). Limited set of words, often in the form めいた. Literary, descriptive.

Examples

三月さんがつに入はいって、だいぶ春はるめいてきた。

Since March began, it has become quite spring-like.

彼かれは謎なぞめいた笑えみを浮うかべて去さっていった。

He left with a mysterious smile.
