Says that something is not serious or big enough for a strong reaction.
Verb plain form + ほどのことはない. It often reassures: 心配するほどのことはない. Also 〜ほどのことでもない. Do not use it for a high degree.
Examples
この傷は、病院に行くほどのことはないよ。
This injury is not serious enough to go to the hospital.
心配するほどのことはありません。ただの風邪です。
It is nothing to worry about. It's just a cold.
