Says that something is not worth being surprised or praised about.
Verb dictionary form or noun + に当たらない. Used with 驚く, 責める, 褒める: 驚くには当たらない. Judges the reaction as unnecessary.
Examples
彼が優勝したのは、驚くにはあたらない。
It is no surprise that he won.
その程度のことは、褒めるに当たらないよ。
That level of thing is not worth praising.
