Says that something may change, depending on the situation or result of the thing mentioned.

Noun + (の)いかんでは, or いかんによっては. Often followed by a possibility form: 〜かもしれない, 〜こともある. Formal. Different from 〜いかんによらず, which means "regardless of".

Examples

交渉こうしょうの結果けっかいかんでは、契約けいやくを取り消とりけすこともあり得える。

Depending on the result of the negotiation, the contract could be canceled.

天候てんこうのいかんによっては、試合しあいは延期えんきされます。

Depending on the weather, the game will be postponed.
