Describes a change over time: something becomes possible or becomes habit.

Dictionary, potential or ない-form + ようになる. Gradual change, often with potential verbs. "No longer" is 〜なくなる or 〜ないようになる.

Examples

日本語にほんごが話はなせるようになった。

I have become able to speak Japanese.

最近さいきんよく運動うんどうするようになりました。

Recently I have started exercising often.
