〜ても: even if; even though

Concession: the result is the same even if the condition is met.

Verb te-form + も (でも after voiced forms); い-adj 〜くても; noun/na-adj でも. With question words: いくら〜ても "no matter how". Also the base of 〜てもいい.

Examples

雨あめが降ふっても行いきます。

I will go even if it rains.

いくら食たべても太ふとらない。

No matter how much I eat, I do not gain weight.
