〜てくれる: do for me

N4 · 02 Favors, passive & causative

Someone does something for me (or my side), and I am grateful.

Verb te-form + くれる. The doer is the subject; the receiver is I or my group. Request: 〜てくれませんか. Polite: 〜てくださる. The recipient is not stated.

Examples

友達ともだちが空港くうこうまで送おくってくれた。

My friend took me to the airport.

母ははは毎朝まいあさお弁当おべんとうを作つくってくれる。

My mother makes me a lunch every morning.
