A state resulting from someone's deliberate action.

Transitive verb te-form + ある. The object takes が (or は): 窓が開けてある. Implies intention or preparation. Compare intransitive 〜ている: 窓が開いている.

Examples

机つくえの上うえにメモが置おいてある。

A note has been left on the desk.

壁かべに絵えがかけてある。

A picture has been hung on the wall.
