〜の (nominalizing): nominalizer (the act of …)

Turns a clause into a noun: "the act or fact of …".

Plain form + の, then は/が/を. Used with 好き, 上手, 見る, 聞く, 待つ (concrete, perceived events). Compare こと for abstract matters. Not the pronoun の ("the one"; see 〜の the one).
