Conditional on a given situation or topic.

Plain form + なら (noun / na-adjective without だ). Topic-like: 'if you're talking about X'. Based on what the listener said or a known situation.

Examples

京都きょうとに行いくなら、秋あきがいいですよ。

If you're going to Kyoto, autumn is nice.

安やすいなら、買かいたい。

If it's cheap, I want to buy it.
