N3 · 13 Particles and endings, more
ん after the ない-stem of a verb is a short negative: 知らん = 知らない, 出ん = 出ない.
Verb ない-stem + ん: 分からん, 行かん, 出ん, せん (する), こん (来る). Common in western Japan (Kansai, Chugoku, Kyushu) and in rough or old-fashioned speech; also inside ません. Not the explanatory ん of 〜んです, which comes after a full plain form: 出るんです "it's that (he) goes out".
