N5 · 05 Polite verbs and invitations

Polite suggestion or volitional: let's do it.

Stem + ましょう. ましょうか offers or asks 'shall I/we?'. A reply to a suggestion is usually はい、そうしましょう. Casual form is 〜よう / 〜おう.

Examples

一緒いっしょに帰かえりましょう。

Let's go home together.

少すこし休やすみましょうか。

Shall we rest a little?
