Marks the end point of a continuing action in time or place.

N から N まで = from … to. Continuous action: 五時まで働く. For a deadline use までに. Also "even" in written style: 私にまで.

Examples

夜よるの十二じゅうに時じまで勉強べんきょうしました。

I studied until midnight.

駅えきまで歩あるいて行いきます。

I will walk to the station.
